Paxata Data transformation through APIs in data pipeline

Are there APIs available in Paxata to perform all the data transformations, which we normally perform in the data preparation pipeline in a standard GUI. 

Does these APIs cover all the transformations in data preparations.

Paxata's API functionality provides the user the ability to modify the project script - however there arent endpoints that directly do the data transformation functionality. Our recommendation is to use the API for bulk operations such as multiple Imports,  multiple datasource configs and Automation/APF's.
