Paxata SUM function

I'm trying to compute the sum of 3 numeric columns.

My formula looks like this:

Sum(@Success@,@Fail@,@Exception@)

But am getting Error:Expected (Number) got (String).

Not sure how to fix it? My columns are numeric, not all the rows have actual values, not sure if that matters?

Can you do a change into function for all the three columns to numeric? I notice that even though the datatype of the column is numeric, the zeros are stored as text. Paxata picks the datatype based on the majority of the column values (which seem to be numeric)
