SharePoint List to Paxata

SharePoint List to Paxata

I connected a SP List to Paxata, create a project and published to Tableau and it worked. Then I changed columns in SP List updated in Paxata, ran the project and now I get an error on publishing when automation runs. In the project there are no errors, but the automation screen says fields are missing. Those fields were removed from SP, but are not used in the project.

Hi! Would you please share the screenshot (with specific details masked) of the Automation page where you see the error. From what you described above, this behavior could happen when the "Fail if columns change" option is enabled in Automation.

The "do not fail if columns change" is selected in the project automation. There are 3 steps showing errors related to the fields that were removed in Sharepoint. I am unable to paste a screenshot.

Thank you for the clarification! If the new Dataset does not have those columns, the Project Automation will fail as those steps cannot be executed without those columns. To get the Project Automation working, you can edit those Steps that show errors to select the right columns to evaluate that step. Or, you can remove those steps if they are not required anymore.

It is always a good idea to work with the latest version of the Dataset. You can get the Project to use the latest version by clicking on the "Refresh Datasets" button at the bottom of the Step Editor.

Please let me know if you need any further help with this.
