I am currently using a free account to do some model training/testing experiments with the data I have. Unfortunately, I am having to wait for minutes just to upload my data during QuickStart mode. The data size is also quite small (~ 8MB) so I am not sure if there is a speed restriction in free accounts in DataRobot platform.
Is there a documentation that lists the limitations of free account?

I checked with my colleagues, they think one of the reasons of your issue may be due to the speed of your internet.
I did try refresh before. When you refresh in the middle of a data import, the import is prematurely terminated and you have to start over again 😞
I did read the "Getting Started" page a couple of times but did not spot anything related to the issue I have been experiencing.

Here is another suggestion:
Sometimes if you refresh the page and the dataset has uploaded, so it may be a UI issue.
Also, did you check this post? It identifies the differences between the Trial version ("free account")
I attempted the training using a new dataset and the data import slow speed problem still persists. I also tried to use the recipe suggested by @dalilaB earlier but that did not help either. The only working approach seems to be to wait for quite sometime for the issue to resolve itself.
I wanted to drop this note in case you have alternative suggestions or a way to escalate this issue to resolve.

I accepted the proposed approach as solution even though I did not try it myself (the issue self-resolved after 3 hours of waiting basically).

Thanks for the response dalilaB. Next time I observe this problem, I will skip Quick Start and create a new project as you have suggested. That may help.
After 3 hours of waiting and retrying, the data finally got imported. I have no idea what caused this extraordinary delay in the system. I was able to perform predictions by importing a test file that was twice as large as the training file without any delays. This is the strangest behavior I have observed on DataRobot so far.
This is strange, either try later, or try to first import to AI Catalog and then to create a project with your dataset from there, by clicking on Create Project button on the top right
I also deleted half of the existing projects and the training data associated with them and I still cannot import new dataset into the platform. This is very disappointing...
