On-Premise Release 6.1—Changes to Badges for New Autopilot

With Release 6.1 On-Premise AI Cluster, Private AI Cloud, and Hybrid AI Cloud deployments, new Autopilot runs will no longer assign Fast & Accurate or Most Accurate badges. Instead, only the Recommended for Deployment badge will be assigned as the single model DataRobot recommends for deployment.

(Note that any models built with Autopilot prior to Release 6.1 are unaffected and will retain their defined badges.)

Why did we make this change?

These changes are the result of user experience reviews and customer feedback. We determined the Most Accurate badge is redundant since the Leaderboard can be sorted by any project metric to see which model is most accurate. Also, customers reported the Fast & Accurate badge was confusing and generally not useful. Focusing solely on the Recommended for Deployment badge will help streamline and simplify the user experience.
