Snowflake Oauth Azure AD group account setup

Snowflake Oauth Azure AD group account setup

Trying to setup snowflake Oauth login account.

Snowflake as a data connection has been correctly setup and is accessible with a service account. Currently stuck at signing user accounts in through Azure AD group instead of service account.

Used azure portal to find

  • client id
  • client secret
  • snowflake account name
  • issuerurl

Used this guide to find

  • scope

Stuck at the error message below: invalid OAuth access token.

Any suggestions? Appreciate your help in advance.

Hey Max

Welcome to the community.

Could you please check if the Snowflake Authorisation server was configured for your connection as it's described here: https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/oauth-azure.html#step-4-create-an-oauth-authorization-serve... ?

If the auth server is defined and the issue still persists, then I would check the possible solution from the snowflake community topic https://community.snowflake.com/s/article/Create-Security-Integration-User-To-Use-With-OAuth-Client-... .
