We created this community as a place for all things DataRobot, as well as a peer-to-peer support channel for folks to come together, gain valuable insights from peers, collaborate, and innovate around DataRobot products. You'll find users of all experience levels and roles in the community, sharing their wisdom, getting help and building their networks, and talking with peers and DataRobot experts—24/7/365.
While designed with DataRobot users in mind, the community is a place for everyone with a passion for accelerated data science and machine learning, and interest in sharing their discoveries.
These community user guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of the DataRobot Community. Please make sure you’ve read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the terms that apply to your participation in the DataRobot Community.
Our community members come from varied backgrounds and a variety of positions, industries, and expertise levels. Please respect other folks by asking well-thought-out questions and sharing what you've learned so far in your research or experimentation in a civil discourse. Help honestly, stay positively positive, construct constructive comments, and be patiently patient with others who may be newbies or not as technical. Insults and harassment have no place in the DataRobot Community.
Please ensure your contributions are relevant to the community, the discussion style, and topic where you post. The community frowns up reposted content, sourced from within this community or from other sites (e.g., Reddit, Stack Overflow, Medium, etc.), and irrelevant (and potentially malicious) links. Just keep your posts on topic, and understand that off-topic posts and unrelated links are likely to be removed.
Also, please do not post duplicate messages in different areas of the community, as this causes discussion fragmentation and makes it more difficult for everyone. If you have a new question, go ahead and start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation.
Please thank those who have helped or inspired you! If you find a contribution helpful, give it a kudo or accept it as a solution. Kudos and solutions will help boost the contribution value, make them easier for others to find, and boost the author’s reputation.
Don't post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (i.e., copyright, trade secrets, patents, etc.) or nondisclosure agreements to which you or your organization are a party.
Please don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see all over the internet. Your business email address is okay; however, don't share personal information, either your own or anyone else's (including contact information or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications) without the other party's consent. Ensure any content you post (like screenshots and code snippets) does not include confidential information like API keys, personal email addresses, IDs (project, deployment, etc.), and private endpoints. If noticed, the community moderator will remove the confidential information.
There is a lot of great information and advice in this community; however, your specific situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of another member who is sharing their solution. Some advice could even be flat wrong. Remember to use the same good judgment here that you would use elsewhere on the internet.
So it’s okay to share product and service information you’re wild about, as long as it’s germane to the conversation. However, don’t use the community to prospect or advertise, as that will get squashed. If you have something you want members to join, just ask us first.
DataRobot reserves the right of its moderators in their sole discretion to edit, move, block, or remove discussions, content, signatures, or images that they consider confidential, inappropriate, or disturbing in the community. We may also ban any member at our sole discretion. We will always communicate with you via private messages to provide coaching or inform you of a decision. We ask that you do the same if you need to comment on a moderation action as to not disrupt the rest of the community. Don’t hesitate to send us a private message. You grant to us all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to display, reproduce, disseminate, and otherwise use your content in connection with the DataRobot Community. We may edit or remove your content, or block or disable replies on a topic, at any time at our sole discretion.
You will notice that some community members have a DataRobot logo next to their names:
These logos identify DataRobot employees and some specific roles: CM—Community Manager. MOD—Moderator, DS—Data Scientist, Like you, they are members of the community and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.
