Data scientist versus engineer

With MLOps in place, could a data scientist at my company deploy our models to production by themselves? Or, is this something only our engineers can do?

Hi george1986, 

That depends on how you set up the workflow and governance procedures.  You can certainly create workflows that allow your data scientists to create, test and deploy models in MLOps.  You can also add governance processes on top of this by adding an administrator who can approve deployments based on your organizations policies.   It just depends on what your needs are.
